[ ] Applied AI Engineering Residency
Become an engineer who can build, deploy and defend AI-enabled software.
Not a collection of AI tutorials. Three supervised, competency-based tiers for final-year students and developers with 2–4 years of experience — taught by engineers who ship production AI systems.
Supervised practice
Six scheduled live hours every week — instruction, guided implementation and engineering review.
Reviewed work
At least one substantive pull request reviewed per learner, per week.
Realistic failure
Recovery drills, evaluation cases and debugging — not just happy-path demos.
Assessed evidence
Midpoint and final gates, live project defence and a competency credential backed by your work.
Three tiers. Enter where your evidence says.
Each tier is 12 teaching weeks and can be completed on its own. Join Tier 2 or 3 directly by passing its entry assessment. The full pathway is 36 taught weeks — typically 9–12 calendar months.
Tier 1
Full-stack Software Foundations
Build, test and deploy a role-based CRUD application independently.
12 weeks · 16–20 total hours/week, including 6 live hours
Tier 2
LLM Integrations & Automation
Add evaluated LLM features and reliable background processing to an application.
12 weeks · 16–20 total hours/week, including 6 live hours
Tier 3
Agentic AI & Scalable Systems
Build and operate a bounded, permission-aware agentic system with measurable quality.
12 weeks · 18–22 total hours/week, including 6 live hours
A teaching week
2 live hours
Instruction & design
Decisions, concepts and worked examples.
3 live hours
Guided implementation
Build with mentor support — about one mentor per 6–8 learners.
1 live hour
Engineering review
Debugging, architecture review and project defence.
Weekly
Individual feedback
At least one reviewed pull request per learner per week.
Coding assistants are allowed with disclosure. You remain responsible for your tests and changes, and assessments include unaided code-reading and debugging.
What we will not promise
No salary figures, placement guarantees or accreditation claims. We provide supervised practice, assessed evidence of your capability and structured job-search support. Hiring decisions stay with employers — and your evidence is what they will look at.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to start at Tier 1?
No. Each tier can be entered directly after passing its entry assessment, and each can be completed as a standalone capability.
How long is the programme?
Each tier is 12 teaching weeks. The full three-tier pathway is 36 taught weeks, typically 9–12 calendar months including breaks and assessment windows.
Is it online or in person?
Live sessions are scheduled every week. Our initial catchment is Pune, PCMC, Moshi and Alandi, with online participation — confirm the format for each intake on the application page.
Can I use AI coding assistants?
Yes, with disclosure. You remain responsible for your tests and changes, and assessments include unaided code-reading and debugging segments.
Do you guarantee a job or placement?
No. We provide supervised practice, assessed evidence of your capability and structured job-search support. Hiring decisions remain with employers.
What does the credential mean?
A Qollabra competency credential records the tier, assessment date and evidence of what you demonstrated. It is not a university degree or government-accredited diploma.
